Our Story

Firm History

Established in 1989, our firm is distinguished by the ways our architects carefully restore existing historic architectural fabric and integrate new work into that fabric. This philosophy is made apparent in our fine residential projects, and in our national award winning historic rehabilitation projects.

Committed in our work towards the revitalization of urban neighborhoods and traditional downtowns, we believe that good architecture and existing community structure should be respected, preserved, and incorporated as an essential part of any new design solution.

Experienced and qualified in the art and science of the preservation and rehabilitation of historic structures, we integrate the knowledge gained through our experiences into our new work - building better buildings based upon a comprehensive understanding of the successes and failures of buildings of the past.
